HIGHLIGHS

Tre Lon Island is named because it has a lot of bamboo, in addition there are two other places named Tre: Tre Nho and Dam Tre. Tre Lon Island (also called Phu Hoa) is located on the west of Con Son island, covering an area of 77 hectares, the highest peak is 142 meters high. Tre Lon Island is a large area with many white Grouse birds (a type of forest pigeon) nesting and laying eggs, this is also the island with the second highest number of sea turtles on the island of Con Son archipelago. The island also has many almond trees growing along the coast. The north, west and south sides of the island have many beautiful color coral reefs. Before 1945, Tre Lon was the place to hold political prisoners.
